Advertising terms

In short: we review every ad before it runs. You're only charged if it's approved, and your days start then.

What you're buying

Your banner shown in the Linkz app's ad slots (welcome screen, lobby and chat rooms), taking turns with other ads, for the days you choose: 7 days ($35.00 CAD), 14 days ($70.00 CAD), 21 days ($105.00 CAD), at $5.00 CAD a day.
Your days run back to back, starting when we approve your ad (that's also when you're charged).
Ads share the slots with other ads, so we can't promise a number of views or clicks.
Prices are in Canadian dollars. No sales tax is currently added.

When you book, your card gets a hold for the total. You're not charged yet.
We review every ad, usually within 2 days. If we approve it, the hold is charged and your days start.
If we don't approve it, we release the hold, so nothing is charged, and we delete your banner. If we can't review it within 7 days, the hold ends by itself, also with nothing charged.
Once your ad is live, we can remove it if it (or the page it links to) turns out to break these rules. In that case we refund the days it didn't run.

Ads have to be honest, legal and suitable for everyone using Linkz. We don't accept ads that:

are sexual, show nudity, or link to adult content;
promote violence, hate or harassment, or target anyone for who they are;
sell or promote weapons, drugs, tobacco or vaping, or gambling;
are scams, get-rich-quick schemes or misleading claims, or impersonate someone else;
link to malware, phishing, or pages that don't match the ad;
are political or election ads;
use images, logos or text you don't have the rights to.

We may decline any ad at our discretion; if we do, nothing is charged.

640 × 100 pixels (any 32:5 size, such as 1280 × 200), JPEG or PNG, up to 1 MB.
Your link must work and lead to what the ad shows. Don't change the page into something else while the ad runs.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Linkz never sees your card details.
We keep your ad, your link, your email address (from checkout) and the order details, to run the ad, answer questions and keep business records. Your email is not shared or used for marketing.

We may update these terms; the version on this page when you book applies to your order.
